Hello bootleg lovers, today we’ll be looking at the High
Grade AGE 1 Normal from the Gundam AGE. This is the first review of Dragon
Momoko kits. As we know, it has a better plastic quality than the Gao Gao’s. So,
quality comes with the price which is still cheap but not cheaper than Gao Gao
normal HG kits. Here is the statistic of the model kit.

UNBOXING
We can see the box art is different with the Bandai one. They
made the picture by themselves and also the dimension of the box. The runners
packaging also good with only 2 runners in each plastic. The plastic bags are
not dusty like on the Gao Gao kits.
RUNNERS
If the plastic bag is not dusty, it means that the runners
also. And yes, we can start building the kit without cleaning it first. We get
matte finish on this kit which is good. It is rare to see a HG kit with 4 beam
sabers included. I like it, but the color is too vibrant, kinda like purple not
pink.
PARTS
Head
Honestly, there are no problem while building the head. And
guess what, the face mask and the eyes are perfect! Unlike Gao Gao HG kits, the
face mask and the eyes are perfectly fit and shaped well. For your information,
the shape of the v fin is thinner and sharper than the original. Also the size
of the middle part of the v fin and the nose part are longer than the original.
I put all of the stickers on the head. They are so good in term of quality as
well as the cutting.
Torso
I do like the design of the body with sharp edges. The
spoiler part on the backpack also very good. It looks more aerodynamic. A
problem I had on this kit is mainly the polycaps. It’s not easy to put on,
because the holes of the polycaps is not fit nicely with the pegs. So I trimmed
a little bit on the edge of the part to fit it in. If you’re guessing that the
A shaped part on the chest is a clear part, you’re wrong. They’re only
stickers. No protection at all, so maybe we can accidently scratch the sticker
off.
Arms
Again, I like the design of the arms with boxy edges. I did
not put the black stickers on the side of the shoulders because they’re just
black. I can just color it using my marker. But I will do it later. The left
hands are loose on mine. I think it’s the polycap.
Waist
Well, the skirts are pretty nice. Feels like RX-78’s.
Legs
The legs are so good. There is a problem beside the
polycaps, the snapfit on the calf are so hard, so don’t do the HULK SMASH! But
trim the pegs a bit or widen the holes. Again, I put on the stickers. Yes, the
black ones if you’re wondering.
Weapons and Accessories
Normal weapons for a normal type mobile suit. The beam saber
peg doesn’t fit nicely in the handle. I do trim a bit on the side of the peg.
Also on the back of the DOTS rifle are so hard to put on. Other than that,
there is no problem
Stickers
Yes, if you see, I used almost all of the stickers. Once
again, they’re so good.
STANDArt POSE
Pretty nice kit, I like the proportion and the overall look.
VERDICT
This is a good kit with good price. Main problem is on the
polycaps. So how the polycaps will affect the articulation? Stay tuned for the
